There are many moving parts involved in planning a wedding or event and we strive to make the process as easy as possible. We'vee highlighted some of our most popular questions, to guide you through the process of choosing your Catering team.
WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?
Your journey with culinary catering begins from the moment you inquire by email, phone or web. We custom build proposals to meet each clients specific needs, whether this is based off of one of our pre-set menus or we are building a custom menu. Once a menu is agreed upon we send out a contract and secure a retainer/deposit for your event. We work with you throughout the entire process and are always available for questions, comments and concerns.
How far in advance should I book?
Once you have a desired date in mind, securing that date is essential. Your date is secured once a deposit is paid. The sooner the deposit is provided the guarantee for the desired date is secured.
DO YOU OFFER MENU TASTINGS?
Yes! Tastings are a perfect way to prepare for your wedding and have a date night where we do the cooking and cleaning. We book tastings based on availability. Our Tasting experience is priced at $74.95 / PP and includes a three course meal with a customized menu.
HOW SOON DO I NEED TO FINALIZE NUMBERS?
The final number for your guest count must be provided 14 days prior to the event date. At this time the Kitchen Menu will also be finalized.
ARE YOU ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE ALLERGIES?
While some of our menu choices may contain different allergens, we at Culinary Catering always have your dietary needs at the top of our priority board. We are not a certified allergy free kitchen but that wont stop us from creating a new way to accommodate your favourite dish.
CAN I BRING IN OUTSIDE FOOD OR OTHER CATERERS?
No, due to our health standards all items must be prepared and purchased by Culinary Catering in order to meet our health and safety codes. The only item we allow clients to source from outside vendors are commercially prepaired wedding cakes. We follow the regulations that are set out by the London Middlesex Health Unit.
WHAT DO YOU SET UP FOR MY EVENT?
You are responsible for setting up your own tables, chairs, decor, linens and dinnerware. When Culinary staff arrive on site they will set up the back of house work area and prepare for meal service. Clients are also resposible for their own tear-down at the end of their event. You can choose to hire Culinary staff to do set-up and/or tear-down, estimate will follow upon request.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED FOR AN EVENT?
Culinary Catering requires as much notice as possible to accommodate your event. We understand in certain situations, such as Celebrations of life, notice may be condensed. We have experience with last moment requests and have the ability to execute clients needs with a high level of professionalism, care, and efficiency. While advance notice is always appreciated, our team is equipped to respond quickly and thoughtfully to ensure your event is handled with the respect and quality it deserves.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept: Etransfer, Electronic Fund Transfers, Cheques, Certified Bank Drafts, Money Orders or Cash. Final payment is due in full 14 days prior to the event.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
As an industry standard, If you need to cancel our services after booking with us, the retainer is non-refundable which is stated throughout contracted terms. Any cancellation of an event will result in the forfeit of the non-refundable retainer paid.
DO YOU OFFER BARTENDING SERVICES?
Yes, we offer a multitude of bar services and can build your package to suit your event needs.
All of our Bartenders are Smart Serve Certified.
WHAT CERTIFICATIONS DO YOU HAVE?
We are a Certified Caterer and have our Business License through the City of London, as well as a Caterer's Endorsement Liquor License.
