What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, personal cheque, or email money transfer.

Is my deposit refundable?
No, unfortunately the deposit is non-refundable.

Do I have to decide on my menu items before signing a contract?
No, you have lots of time to decide on your perfect menu.

Do I require insurance for my event?
Most likely. Most venues require liability insurance before your event.

Do all venues let you choose your own caterer?
No, some venues have exclusive caterers that you are required to use.

How much notice is required to place an order?
This depends on the amount of people you are ordering for however generally we require a least 48 hours notice.

When is my final guest count due?
For larger events, such as weddings or corporate events, we require the final guest count 14 days prior to the event.

When is my final payment due?
Final payment is due 14 days prior to your event.

Is a gratuity automatically added to my invoice?
Yes, we add a 7% gratuity to your subtotal.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel you order. Orders that are canceled less than a week before the scheduled event date will be charged 100% of the total invoice. This charge is to cover foods that cannot be used, labor, rental goods, and jobs we may have declined in order to accommodate your event.

When should I book my caterer?
Depending on the event it is best to book two weeks to one year in advance. We are not able to hold dates without a deposit so the earlier you book the more likely we will have availability.

How far will you travel?
As Culinary Catering is an offsite catering company we are happy to cater anywhere that we can drive! If your event is more than a 1 hour drive from our shop in London, it may limit some of your menu choices as not all of our food can travel long distances. Our Event Creators can certainly help you with a menu that will be suitable and delicious! Charges for travel time and passenger vans if the location of the event is more than 30 mins from the city centre would apply.

Will my Event Creator be at my event?
We are a large company and can cater up to 5 events a day. While our Creators do their best to visit each event, the “Banquet Captain” will be your main contact on site. He or she will ensure that all the details you and your Event Creator have gone over will be seen to on the day of your party. Only our most senior and experienced staff get promoted to the Banquet Captain position, to ensure the best possible service at our events.

Do you charge a corkage fee?
Yes. Should you choose a different wine, champagne, spirit or beer than what we offer there is a $15 corkage fee to cover the extra costs of ordering, picking up and returning the items.

Do you charge a cake-cutting fee?
We will happily cut your cake without charging you a cake-cutting fee.
